On behalf of Emergency Response we
would
like to thank the South Korean Goverment for allowing
us to provide first aid information to the ministry of Health at the
Crown Plaza Norwest.
Thank you to all who assisted us in making it a great night. Emergency
doctors from the ministry of health delagation from the South korean
Goverment spent time with us as we explainned how the Australain
standards work in Australia.
We conducted lectures at Crown
Plaza
on first aid regulations, equipment and accreditation standards within
Australia. Showed the use of defibrllation usage- DRABCD and general
dissussions on a range of first aid topics.
All up 22 delagates were present to
hear
how we provide first aid.
Thank you to the NSW State Emergency
Service for all their support during storm season to the communitys of
NSW.
A First Aid Course at Sydney Navy
Garden
Island was run with great success, the class was run for various
dock workers in a shed on the base. All passed with great success,
(well done to all).
Two days were spent in Port Kembla
Woolongong training staff for the NSW Ports Authority. A great &
fun time was had by all.
We are conducting a series of
lectures for business in the CBD.
This new program of hands on education
is a fun an innovative way of
providing practical ideas when dealing in first aid.
Some of the subjects covered are
DRABCD,
Bleeding, burns, sezuires and how to call an ambulance.

23 teachers spent 4 hours this week
with us
learning CPR. All passed with the knowledge of how to apply Basic
life support skills (CPR) for their classes.
We have been providing education
training to the NSW SES members in first aid defibrillation and oxygen
usage.
Congraulations to all the members over year 2009 in completing their
training.
We will continual to bring outstanding training and services to the SES
in 2010!
